The Chilli Jam,
Marlborough
Zonta Plum Chutney and
Red Pepper
Relish are all great mixed 50/50 with cream or cottage cheese and served on crackers or crostini.
Onion
Marmalade spread on lightly toasted bread and topped with sliced cheese and tomato, then grilled makes
a great snack. A teaspoon full swirled through a plate of tomato soup or a tomato based pasta sauce adds
that finishing touch. For people that like it hot chilli jam has the same effect.
Lemons in Gin
as well as making a great addition to your summer punch bowl, are great when cooking a whole fish in foil.
Just butter or oil the foil. Place slices of onion and lemons in gin inside the cleaned fish. Wrap in the
foil and cook in the oven or on the barbecue.
Pinot Noir
Gourmet Dressing is special with chicken or turkey. Use any leftovers in a sandwich using the Pinot
Noir Gourmet Dressing instead of a spread. A great starter is lightly toasted diagonally cut slices of
French bread coated with a layer of dressing, a slice of cooked chicken breast, a slice of avocado, a
slice of cheese. Refrigerate then when ready to serve heat in the oven till the cheese is melted and they
are heated through.
Quince Ginger or
Pear Ginger are great on crackers with cheese, served with
cold pork on as a topping on scones.
Strawberry
and Kiwifruit Topping swirled through the cream on a Pavlova or chocolate cake adds a new taste
experience. Experiment with the Chocolate and Cognac Topping or the
Blackcurrant
and Raspberry Topping with its hint of raspberry brandy for a more adult dessert.
As well as our
Ginger and
Honey Marinade the
Plum Sauce
and Spicy
Apricot Sauce diluted make interesting marinades for your barbecue foods.
Tired of all your dressing ending up in the bottom of your bowl instead of on your
salad. Try one of our new light dressing or vinaigrettes. They are made from grape seed oil, one of the
"good" oils and have intense natural flavours and colours.
One of our regular customers uses the
Garlic Sauce
over avocado, another customer uses the
Crab Apple
Jelly with venison.
